Chicken Cordon Bleu or Filet Mignon

It’s been two weeks of being engaged, and the wedding has gone from a beach to a vineyard to a boat to a country club to the waterfront.
How do you do something unique and wonderful for everyone without driving yourself crazy over plans and money?
And how do you involve everyone who wants to be involved without stepping on toes or letting one vision takeover everyone else’s?
I have no idea, but I’m willing to take suggestions.
Chances are, if you have a vagina, you have been secretly (or sometimes not so secretly) planning your wedding for your entire life. At 8 I wanted a reception in the sand. At 12 I picked a reception hall instead. At 16 I had china picked out. At 23 I found the dress of my dreams.
Now, at the tender age of 24, I am engaged and have NO IDEA what I want. Right now I have a list of 8 possible reception sites, no clue what colors my 8 bridesmaids will be wearing (that’s right bitch, 8 bridesmaids and 4 junior bridesmaids) and 7 magazines at home that are supposed to provide me with lists, gowns, songs, cakes and invitations.
I’ve been to a lot of weddings, and I am trying to figure out what made some better than others. Was it the food? The music? The company? Was it the open bar or the dollar dance? Was it the crab appetizers or the good vodka? Or was it just being happy for the bride and groom and having no expectations, other than having a good time?
And what about a rehearsal dinner?

The best thing about weddings is knowing I'm not the one getting married. Live free or die, baby.

I vote filet mignon.
